Samsung Jet Review
Mobile phone companies continue to strive harder and faster to produce the best one-phone-fits-all model, providing high-speed internet, email, music, camera and good, old-fashioned calling in a sleek, sexy shell.
However, it's not exactly a walk in the park. Mobile technology moves along at a striking pace. As soon as one phone is unveiled as the top dog, a new one comes along to boot it out. This makes finding a phone that will stand the test of time and actually stay at the top of its game in the months to come is no easy task, however, the latest smartphone from Samsung may just fit the bill.
Samsung have always produced stylish, attractive phones but the new Samsung Jet sets a new record on the good-looking stakes. This super-slim smartphone is less than 12mm thick, the customisable 3.1 inch touch screen is ultra-high res with 16 million colours and remains clearly visible in direct sunlight and it's shiny black casing oozes cool sophistication.
According to Samsung's marketing of the Jet, 'impatience is a virtue', so it has gone all out to create a smartphone that works at 800MHz, 200MHz faster than the new i-phone. Combine this with the TouchWix 2.0 interface and user experience goes through the roof.
It has HSDPA 3G technology, Microsoft Exchange PC synchronisation, 2GB internal memory and up to 16GB external capability. So when Samsung was going for speed, they clearly achieved it. This phone could compete in the smartphone Olympics and win gold every time.
The Jet also has too many gadget to mention here, but for starters it has a 5 mega pixel camera with dual power LED flash, four times digital zoom, anti-shake filter and AMOLED technology for super-sharp images; a D1 bit rate video recorder allowing for DVD-like playback; a GPS navigation system including the very cool 3D maps and a MP3 player with built-in radio. That should keep you out of trouble for a while.
This phone manages to live up to its name and all the hype. It is fast, efficient and just plain cool. It has more features than you can shake a stick at, and looks super-hot too. Multi-tasking is part and parcel of this phone, allowing you to call, browse and play tunes all at once using its rapid 800MHz power and 3D user interface so you won't be left waiting, or wanting for that matter.
The Samsung Jet is exclusive to Vodafone and is available on contracts from £20 per month.
